Best Henderson NV Neighborhoods: A Local REALTOR®'s Guide
Henderson is Nevada’s second-largest city, and it offers some of the most livable neighborhoods in the Las Vegas Valley. Buyers come here for the parks, the golf, the mountain views, and an easy drive to the Strip without living on top of it.
After 22+ years helping buyers and sellers across the valley, I hear the same question all the time: which part of Henderson is right for me? Each community has its own personality, price range, and pace. Here’s a quick look at five of the most popular.
Green Valley: established and central
Green Valley is one of the valley’s original master-planned communities, and it’s still one of Henderson’s most convenient places to live. Mature trees, neighborhood parks, and walking paths give it a settled, hometown feel.
You’re close to shopping and dining at The District at Green Valley Ranch, with quick access to the 215. Homes range from starter single-story houses to larger custom properties in Green Valley Ranch. It’s a strong fit for buyers who want space and convenience without paying for brand-new construction.
Anthem: foothill views and two distinct lifestyles
Anthem sits in the foothills of southern Henderson, with some of the best valley and Strip views in town. It’s really two worlds in one community.
Sun City Anthem is one of the area’s best-known 55+ communities, with active clubs, fitness centers, and golf. Nearby, guard-gated Anthem Country Club offers luxury homes on the course. The rest of Anthem has a wide mix of family homes, parks, and trails. Buyers here usually want views, quiet streets, and room to spread out.
Seven Hills: guard-gated living and golf
Seven Hills is a hillside community in central Henderson known for its guard-gated neighborhoods and Rio Secco Golf Club. Streets wind through the hills, and many homes have mountain or city-light views.
It offers a polished, upscale setting while staying close to everyday shopping and the 215. Seven Hills works well for buyers who want privacy and security without moving to the edge of town.
Inspirada: newer homes and community events
Inspirada is one of Henderson’s newer master-planned communities, in the southwest part of the city. It was designed around walkability, with village-style neighborhoods, community pools, parks, and trails connecting it all.
The community calendar stays busy with events, which makes it easy to meet neighbors. Inspirada appeals to buyers who want newer construction, modern floor plans, and a strong sense of community.
Lake Las Vegas: resort living on the water
Lake Las Vegas surrounds a large man-made lake on Henderson’s eastern edge, and it feels more like a resort town than a suburb. Residents kayak, paddleboard, and take electric boats out on the water, then walk to waterfront dining in the village.
Housing ranges from condos to luxury estates, many with lake or golf course views. It’s ideal for buyers seeking a vacation feel, a second home, or a quieter pace while staying about 30 minutes from the Strip.

The best neighborhood comes down to how you want to live: your commute, your budget, whether you want new construction or an established street, and how much you value views, golf, or a gate.
